And now we come to the point when we can more or less say another trilogy comes to an end, while I have little in terms of experiencing the trilogy as a whole I did get to play through Dead Space 3 and it wasn’t bad though somethings stood out.

Can the Tube find love this Valentine’s day?

With the impending day of Romantical Judgement upon us, we here at Tube Spot have come up with a magical list (though in large part it was me listening to some random songs and going “Well someone might enjoy this nonsense” but I should limit what I throw up on this list this time around.) So in sort I came up with two possible lists, a list of romantically themed songs from either Gundam series or Video Games, I’m sure you’ll figure out which one was the easier one to do.

dead islandbannerDead Island has elements of various genres but do they blend seamlessly or do you encounter dreaded invisible walls and glitches everywhere? It features a first person perspective, four player cooperative throughout the campaign, a multitude of weapons and zombies.  Also RPG elements and an “Open-World.”

Why Microsoft? Why? December 7, 2011

Recently an update came out for the Xbox 360 that involved a change in GUI from the Xbox Experience to one that is more akin Windows Phone 7/Windows 8 (or at least the development shots of it). But along side with this GUI (General User Interface) change came a EULA (End-User License Agreement) update for users, one that I have trouble with especially section 18 although my issue with it largely lays with section 15 through 18 but the other stuff makes sense. Also if you want to see where I got the EULA/TOU (Terms of Use) stuff: http://www.xbox.com/en-US/legal/livetou

Does Blizzard Make The Best Games? March 30, 2011

I don’t think there isn’t a person today who hasn’t heard of at least one or two of Blizzard’s PC games. Most think that simply because Blizzard made the game that it must be awesome, a hype so powerful to some that it leads to them being over-zealous about an average game. It strikes me the hardest, how much of a hold Blizzard has on the market, when I bring up competitors to its most famed titles. If I mention Dungeon Siege, a game similar to Diablo, nearly no one has heard of it. When you take the two games and get people who have played both, then ask those people to rate them, it would probably come out 50-50. So then I must ask the question, why does everyone know about Blizzard games and not the others? (more…)

Prototyping action:

Vube’s list of his top 10 songs/music from MMO games. As a general hint, I’m going to stick with 1 song per online franchise. If I can’t locate the song on youtube, then I’ll go to the next one for it. It currently isn’t in any specific order.

More often then not I listen to these songs from their song folders after they are installed unless they’re hidden in other files.

I haven’t had my own Blog in ages, but here goes nothing..

Scum. It’s what lives between the cracks of a sidewalk, it’s what can get stuck on the bottom of a shoe, perhaps even to my life…

I don’t really know how to put this in a GOOD way, because in reality, there isn’t a nice/kind/good way to say it! I just don’t like it. Scum is scum. Who wants it? Needs it? NO ONE. I probably would have to say, i sound very bitter in this post.. but who wouldn’t when i have to know the people that I do? (more…)

The Fall of Franchises and the Rise in Disappointments January 1, 2011

As time progresses and to some degree marching forward, there have been things in the past that have grown with us. In this post, I’m referring to video game franchises/series which often take a tested method and slightly update it with newer bells and whistles but sometimes the bells and whistles make us yearn for the older, sometimes forgotten ones. Two franchises that had an influence on me as a person and as a “gamer” was the final fantasy and front mission games (albeit I got into front mission when it came out in the states). For me, for a time, they were getting better and better, like there was no limit on what could be done but then comes a franchise breaker for an individual. (more…)

Throughout human history pioneers have ventured into the vast unknown. They have had many reasons to seek the new world. Unfortunately for me my reason for exploration was not as glamorous as the pioneers of the days of old. I wanted to escape the dying planet from which I was born. Luckily for me I was born into a wealthy family, one of the wealthiest in fact. As part of an agreement my family funded the first colonization attempt of the moon. It was a long and arduous process, waiting for the colony to be built by unmanned machines. When it was finally finished I was all too ready to be off to the lonely rock which I would call home for the next 20 years. The biosphere was nearly perfect. Each housing area was in a transparent bubble through which I could see the stars. I had every luxury a man could hope for, and without any of the hassle of needing to communicate with other people in day-to-day life. My only companion in this new home was a robotic servant which I called Max. He was logical and mechanized, not even close to resembling a human in conversation. He was a perfect companion, never any mistrust between us, I was all to happy to have him as my only friend. Days went by peacefully and quietly. I would occasionally play chess with Max or observe the endless star-scape. My housing resembled a pent-house hotel room, complete with pool-sphere and gym-sphere. The only issues with the design of the “colony” was the fact there were no connections between the different spheres. You would have to wear a re-breather of sorts to go from one to another. A magnetic shield kept the pressure and temperature at what it needed to be to sustain a human presence, but besides that it was as inhospitable as ever. I was never fond of the feeling I got in my ears when I went outside. It was like the feeling you get when you would gain altitude in an airplane, and the endless silence was numbing.

After hearing of the soon to be released FFXIV I was excited by the thought of being able to explore a new world of Final Fantasy with my friends. I have recently acquired the open beta and was ready for a world of exploration and excitement. Soon I would be able to transverse a whole new world of awesome graphics and gameplay that even my friends on the PS3 could enjoy, or so I thought… (more…)
